PWP Industries, Vernon, Calif., received the Supplier of the Year 2007 award from Bunzl Distribution North America. “The partnership between PWP and our company has strenthened considerably over the years,” said Pat Larmon, president and C.E.O, Bunzl, St. Louis. PWP also was awarded the 2007 Bunzl Distribution Mid-North Vendor of the Year award and the 2007 Bunzl Distribution West Vendor of the Year Performance Excellence award. Muzio Bread Co., Sacramento, Calif., has closed after 79 years as a wholesale bakery, unable to battle against skyrocketing ingredient prices. About 200 bakeries in the region relied on Muzio Bread Co.
